It works,
I purchased this stylus for my aging father whose fingers always seem to hit the wrong button. So far he has been emailing more frequently and using the Ipad for more than keeping track of golf scores. Overall the functionality is perfect.

|Like writing with a Sharpie,
Stylus works very well! I read a few reviews before selecting this one (which is supposedly the same as the Griffin/Targus/Boxwave versions), except this one was cheaper and in red. The size is about right, and the clip is useful for clipping onto the official Apple iPad 1 case.
The lanyard is pretty useless, and plugging it in seems to mute many of the iPad sounds (since it detects something in the headphone jack). I disconnected it though and just use the clip.
As reviews have noted, the nub is a bit broad (imagine writing with a Sharpie) and I wish it were a bit firmer (it’s a bit mushy). However, capacitative screens cannot handle the fine tip of traditional styluses, and I don’t need to apply too much pressure when writing. Thus, it feels pretty natural to write with this on the iPad screen, especially with note-taking apps that offer zoomed-in handwriting input. PDF annotations (esp. highlighting) are a lot easier with this stylus than with my finger.

|Works well with notetaking apps.,
The thing to remember with this stylus is to use a light touch. Once you get used to that the stylus works without fault. I find the body quite short and therefore not as comfortable as I’d like but I have quite long fingers and any stylus shorter than five and a half inches would probably give me the same difficulty. Most importantly the stylus accurately ””translates” what I’m writing so no need to go back for touch ups or to fill in missed words or letters. A decent product for a reasonable price.
