Great service and price,
I ordered a new lamp for my Sony rear prrojection TV and received the lamp shipped from CA to FL in 1.5 days! It took about 10 minutes to install the bulb/lamp (and I am not by any means a techie) and most of the time was spent cleaning up 2 years of duct. Great service and great price; the TV works great again. I do wish the Sony bulbs lasted a little longer that 2 years but I saved a lot of money by not having to have a repair technician come to the house.

|Sony Replacement Bulb,
I purchased this bulb to keep on hand for when my TV’s bulb needs to be changed. I heard that someone did not have a spare bulb on a different Sony TV and the bulb became obsolete (so he said) and was not able to fix his set. As far as the purchase experience the bulb was sent as stated in its protective cage and the whole assy was shipped in a foam protected box that protected the bulb in shipping. I would recommend this dealer.

I was nervous buying this lamp since it is listed under KDS-55A2000 (although I knew the replacement lamp is the same for the 50, 55 and 60 inch versions of this TV). I chose this version because it was in Amazon Prime and I wanted to get it next day shipping without paying a fortune (TV was out, just a red blinking light). It didn’t come with installation directions but there is a YouTube video that shows how to do the install. Very easy. As all the other reviewers mention, you forget how bright this TV is with a fresh lamp. I used the original bulb for 4 years. I was always very careful to never turn the TV off before it had been on for at least 30 minutes. I guess I’m also a light TV watcher (although my wife would probably disagree). If this lamp fails prematurely I’ll update my review. So far only 1 day in.
